Granted that Radio is very much dead, but we must be grateful that it has spawned off the revolution of Podcasting. One of the thousands of new shows appearing as a podcast is Typeradio. Typeradio refers itself as a radio channel on type & design. Since 2004 Typeradio has visited a variety of design events with the intention to talk with designers. If you have iTunes 4.9, then you can subscribe for free onto Typeradio’s broadcast feed.

Typical college summers tend to involve relaxation and just time off away from studio. However as you remember, the Spring Semester ended with a bit of uncertainty about our department’s future. We were in the midst of selecting a new Industrial Design Director for the upcoming school year.

In May, the College of Architecture Selection Committee had chose Professor Abir Mullick, but it wasn’t until June that the school announced its decision until they received his confirmation. [continue]

As promised, Studio 104 is online! Just as you saw with the IDSA newsletter, the website now has an updated theme that follows the Razor. IDSA will be using the website as a tool for members and to showcase itself towards professionals.
